Trying to find a nice island/country to visit in August with my 14 year old son. We’ve done Jamaica several times…love it but looking for something new. We did Belize last summer..loved it! Looking into Puerto Rico but wondering if too Americanized and if my dollar will go a long way there. We don’t do resorts or big hotels due to the price. Looking for some jammin reggae, roots and culture, friendly locals, little cabanas on the beach for little $, adventure, snorkeling, ect….. Looking to stay a few weeks and spending as little as possible for clean/safe accomodations so we can strech our visit out. Also, we like to travel around the country and stay in a few different places. Please Help! Thanks!
