If my “son” (no blood relation) comes to USA from Belize on tourist visa and finds an employer who’ll hire him, can he later change visa status to permanent resident status?

Has anybody been on Slickrock Adventure vacations in Belize.?
My husband wants to take my kids on an adventure vacation. He is 55, a heavy smoker and is recuperating from a very serious illness. My kids are not into sports. My son will have just turned 12 and my daughter is 19. I am wondering if this vacation is too extreme for people who are not sportsy or even “active”. Please help me if you can because he has to book tomorrow. Thanks so much. The only person I have talked to told me that class two rapids will put them upsidedown for sure so that would be scary and that they will need more than just nominal instruction.
Spanking???
Personally I am for spanking (which is different from abuse)… Do people ever wonder why the US has so many ppl with Behavioral problems… you don’t spank you kids and expect them to be well behaved… my son slaps me and sure enough he will get one. I tried the time outs and talking… do you really think that works on a 2 yr old??? Please… i can even let him sit long enough for a meal…. talking… do child understand what that is… nope… In Belize we spank and our children are more respectful and well behaved than American kids (not discriminating but this is my observation and my opinion)…. only in the more recent years has our crime rate gone up and its most because of America television, gangs and drug influences… really…
Just a correction i meant if my son would hit me…. and when i said Belize i didn’t say all Belizean… (MAJORITY)…. most people who are out on the streets doing drugs and killing ppl were the one who didn’t get disciplined…. and of course they’re other ways to discipline…. note that spanking is not abuse… spanking a child now for extreme bad behavior can actually save him jail time or his life in the future…

What a great Easter My In-laws are moving to Belize what do I tell my children?
They are really sucky Grandparents and they want to always isolate themselves and put on a show for us babying our two children, like they really care. My son will be 4 and my daughter 2. I’m sure that my daughter will be fine, but it’s my son I’m worried about. What should I tell him? What do I tell him when he grows up with no Grandparents? I grew up without my Grandparents and I was fine, but my son is connected even though they only see our children on MAJOR holidays. I’m sure he will be fine, but I just wanna know what to say to him

Please help. Looking to visit a Caribbean destination where my $ will go a long way…..?
Trying to find a nice island/country to visit in August with my 14 year old son. We’ve done Jamaica several times…love it but looking for something new. We did Belize last summer..loved it! Looking into Puerto Rico but wondering if too Americanized and if my dollar will go a long way there. We don’t do resorts or big hotels due to the price. Looking for some jammin reggae, roots and culture, friendly locals, little cabanas on the beach for little $, adventure, snorkeling, ect….. Looking to stay a few weeks and spending as little as possible for clean/safe accomodations so we can strech our visit out. Also, we like to travel around the country and stay in a few different places. Please Help! Thanks
