We are taking a Caribbean cruise in Sept. on Carnival. What are the the average costs of shore excursions?

Of course, I am sure that excursions like “swimming with the dolphins” are going to cost much more than a regular tour of some place, but I just wanted to get a little idea of how much extra money we’d have to shell out if we wanted to get off the ship at all 4 ports!??

By the way, are scheduled ports of call (pending any hurricanes!!!) are Nassau, Casa Maya, Cozumel and Belize.

And I’ve been to cruisecritic.com which has been very helpful, but I thought I would try this question on here too and see if any of you had any helpful info.

Thanks!

I’m going on a Western Caribbean Cruise and need advice?

I’m sailing on the Carnival Glory to Cozumel, Belize, Roatan and Freeport, Bahamas and have been looking at the shore excursions booked through the cruise line. Have any of you taken this cruise or a similar one and can tell me the best things to do with two kids 10 and 11–especially in belize and freeport. Thanks in advance

Going on Carnival Miracle’s Southern Carribean Cruise next month any tips for some cool shore excursions?

We will be stopping in Colon, Panama – Limon, Costa Rica, & Belize City, Belize.

First time cruiser- Cruising the western caribbean next month. Need advice on shore excursions. Thanks!?

I have heard not to use Carnival’s excursions because they are overpriced. However, I feel more comfortable doing so because its my first cruise. I picked one excursion per port, just wondering if anyone has done these or has better suggestions:
Grand Cayman Islands- Cayman Parasail & Beach Escape
Cozumel- Beach Buggy & Snorkel Combo
Belize- Cave Tubing
Costa Maya- Jungle Beach Bread

Thanks!!
Correction: Jungle Beach Break!!!

can u actually take your own soda/pop with you on a cruise? i am going on norwegian and i heard that they dotn really have anything planned that you just go and do as u please. we are on the “SUN” ship. also for the formal dinner do i have to wear a suit or just dress pants with a shirt and tie or just something nice. i know with most u need to be really dressed up but i heard that our cruise line is really relaxed.
