There are a group of us going to Belize and wanted to go shopping (souvenirs). We wanted to know if it was expensive. Also is food expensive?

What food can I expect in Belize?
When I traveled to China, I expertise some food that was very unlike that I am accustom to in the USA. I took photographs of some of the food that I ate. My girlfriend could not believe it. I took her to a restaurant where she could see real Chinese food (chicken feet, etc). , not Americanized Chinese. She considered in something like a ‘horror movie’.
She and I are going to spend a week in Belize (Central America) next year. Will she enjoy the food, or will she experience a crash diet for a week.

how much are belize energy cost ? for instance in Corozal, I mean in U.S.Dollars?
I also would like to know how much does it cost water, how much does it cost to buy food, and how much will it cost a good accomodation in Corozal but the cheapest.
