I’ve been to Panama, Mexico, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Guatemala,and Belize,and while in those countries,I have spoken with people from surrounding countries (Nicaragua,Salvador,Colombia,etc.).I also live near the border of Mex/US.I think that Mexicans are the easiest to understand because they seem to speak slower and more pronounced to me.Does anyone agree with this, or am I just nutty?Additionally, I noticed that the spanish on the spanish channels is not the way people sound in real life most of the time. Nobody sounds even remotely like a telenovela “down there”.My first few days in Panama I had smoke coming out of my ears,and noticed a huge difference when I heard the Mexicanos when I got home, and I felt fluent again.BTW español is my segundo language.Thanks for your input,mis amigos del internet!ciao!

What country is Belize City, Belize in?
Belize has a block on most VOIPS. I used to use Vonage and Skype, but both are not blocked. Is there a test account I can try first pc to pc befeore buying phone out credits?

Belize is the only Country south of our borders that the official language is English. They are only 25 years old and are an emerging Country. You would think more support would be offered. I moved there over two years ago and see it as a Country dedicated to literacy and growth in protecting one of the few last remaining natural paridises left. I know that Belize has not signed the Trade agreement with the US because it would obligated them to sell cheap to the US like all the other central American Countries? Personally, I aplaude that. Just makes good business sense. Or is it because it’s a place some Trafficers use to bring contraban into mexico or the US? Why punish the people / the Rightful inheriters of Belize for any reasons of that sort? Some facts would be nice.
