What food can I expect in Belize?

When I traveled to China, I expertise some food that was very unlike that I am accustom to in the USA. I took photographs of some of the food that I ate. My girlfriend could not believe it. I took her to a restaurant where she could see real Chinese food (chicken feet, etc). , not Americanized Chinese. She considered in something like a ‘horror movie’.

She and I are going to spend a week in Belize (Central America) next year. Will she enjoy the food, or will she experience a crash diet for a week.

cancun to campeche by bus?

I want to travel from cancun to campeche by bus. nothing fancy, “chicken bus” (old school busses) if possible, that said, how much is it in USD (roughly), and roughly, how long does it take. I am leaving on Xmas, I would assume it will be more expensive and possibly more crowded. Also, can I get into guatemala without going thru belize? thank you

What is this? A Popita?

I visited Belize and found a stand selling something like a flattened stuffed corn tortilla. The stuffing was pork or chicken & cheese, or just cheese. I think the lady making them called it a “popita” or something like that. But I can’t find anything on the internet about “popita” or anything sounding similar.

Kinda reminds me of a quesadilla/poptart with meat and cheese. They are really good and fresh.

The lady was Hispanic, but I don’t know if this is Mexican cuisine, Central American cuisine, or something native to Belize.

Anybody know what these are called?
