We met Charlie at the cruise ship port in Belize and he took us for a long hike in the rain forest, pointing out all kinds of things that only the mayan people understand, including medicinal plants etc. Charlie pointed out many birds and called out to the howler monkeys and other wildlife. After a fascinating hike, we entered the pristine river that flows through the caves and had a fantastic journey back to the park where we had a traditional mayan lunch. All along the way, Charlie taught us about the relationship the mayans have with their environment. This was a wonderful personal tour for three, tailored specifically to our interests.
