my boyf and I are going to Mexico for 3 months, anyone got any tips, good places to visit that may not be in lonely planet etc, also we have been looking in to volunteer work but the placements I have found online are a bit too expensive for us, is volunteer work easy to find once you get there? any tips or Mexico, Belize central america, would be great!! He has looked into Belize and Costa Rico but those counties are too ‘civilized’ for him. He wants a bit of a challenge, maybe in starting a small tourist business. And what Spanish DVD’s are best for learning the language? Is “Rocket Spanish ” any good? Rosetta Stone?
Wasn’t Daniel Ortega a dictator and drug czar? Maybe he’s cleaned up his image?
We are going on a cruise in December and we have signed up for a horseback ride in Belize. My husband is sooooo excited, but I am a little bit nervous. I don’t want to be sore and miserable after I go riding, and I want to have fun while I am doing it.
I have never spent time around horses or ridden a horse. What can I expect?

Staying at Banana Beach. Can we just get in the water and go? We don’t want to spend money we don’t need to. Is it safe to go alone? I am a little bit worried about sharks and stingrays. Any tips on how NOT to disturb them as well as barracudas? Mid June travel.

Would like to move there but unsure of living quality. I have 2 small children that will need to go to school in the next year It looks a bit old and dirty on the island. Wondering is someone who has been there can give me their advise or any information.
