Best Vacation Spot for Adventure Activities?

I like hiking, scuba, snorkel, fishing, relaxing on the beach, exploring, nature, rainforest, critters, biking, (any or all of these ok) and freedom from crowds or any sort of organized tour group. I want to explore and discover a destination on my own with no time commitments. Ilike to interact with locals. I like great local food and drinks and no camping. Already been to ; Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Mexico (all over) Belize, St Thomas, Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Bonaire, Bahamas, Venezuela, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Spain. Looking for suggestions not just of what country, but also of places to stay and stuff to do.

Belize Jungle Mayan Ruins

Driving up to San Ignacio in the Cayo District. Very friendly people – living in neat and beautifully coloured houses in the green luscious landscape – everything emanates an inviting laid back atmosphere, Visiting the ancient Maya pyramids of Xunantunich and Caracol, the latter situated in the jungle of Mountain Pine Ridge. We stayed at the beautiful and very welcoming ‘Five sisters’, enjoyed the waterfalls and the very friendly welcome. Before returning to the beaches of Corozal in Belize (Smuggler’s Den), we visited nearby Tikal National Park in Guatemala (see other video) – another memorable experience. Caracol is the largest Maya archaeological site in Belize, Central America. In AD 650, the urban area of Caracol had a radius of approximately 10 kilometers around the site’s epicenter. It covered an area much larger than present day Belize City (the largest metropolitan area in the country of Belize) and supported more than twice the modern city’s population. Urban Caracol maintained a population of over 140000 people through the creation of an immense agricultural field system and through elaborate city planning. Caracol is noted not only for its size during the Maya Classic era (AD 250-950), but also for its prowess in war; this includes an AD 562 defeat of Tikal (Guatemala) and a subsequent conquest of Naranjo (Guatemala) in AD 631.
